Marfeel Amplify: Core Concepts

The following concepts will be useful for you to understand how Marfeel Amplify is organized and how the different panels are related and interact with each other.

Account

An account is the profile a publisher uses to post content on a channel. It can have different meanings depending on the channel.

  • On Facebook and LinkedIn, this means a Company or Business Page—managed by a team, not linked to an individual.
  • On platforms like X, Instagram, Reddit, Bluesky, Pinterest, and Threads, accounts are personal profiles with their own login credentials.
  • On Push Notification Services, it relates to the configured account within that service.
  • On messaging platforms such as Whatsapp or Telegram, it is named channel within them.
  • For Marfeel Recommender, each account is a different recommender experience.

Marfeel Amplify connects to these accounts, allowing publishers to create posts and track performance from one central platform. Visit our documentation to learn how to configure accounts.

To Amplify

To amplify an article is to create one or more posts to distribute it on different channels. During this process, users can choose the accounts and channels it will be posted on, write the text, and select the images that will form the post. Images and text can be auto-generated by Marfeel or created manually by the user. Once the contents of the post have been defined, users can choose from multiple scheduling options for their post to be published. Visit our documentation to learn more about amplifying your articles.

Campaign

Whenever a post is published on multiple accounts simultaneously it is called a Campaign. Campaigns are a way to group multiple posts of the same article together and streamline your distribution process. For example, if a publisher has just released a piece of breaking news and wants to share it on Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, X, and Bluesky, instead of generating and scheduling 5 different posts, they can create and schedule all of them at once through Amplify’s interface. You can visualize your campaigns from the Campaigns panel and track which articles have been shared and through which accounts.

Channel

A channel is a specific platform or medium used to distribute your content, such as social media platforms, messaging apps, push notifications, and on-page recommender modules. Marfeel Amplify supports the following channels for content distribution:

  • Social media: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, Bluesky, Pinterest, Threads
  • On-site recirculation modules built on Marfeel Recommender
  • Messaging platforms: Telegram, Whatsapp
  • Push Notification services: OneSignal

Feed

Think of feeds as account-specific timelines, a register of the content that has been published on a specific account. Each account has its own feed, which displays the posts that have been published in the past along with the engagement metrics these have accrued, as well as the posts that are scheduled to be posted by that account in the future. Feeds also display time blocks during which an account is running on autopilot mode. Visit our documentation to learn more about Feeds.

Layout

Layouts define the rules for how Marfeel Amplify automatically generates images for each social media account. Using HTML and CSS, they apply styling, colors, text, and brand elements to create visually engaging posts. Each layout ensures images are optimized for the unique specifications of every social channel. Visit our documentation to learn more about Layouts.

Posts

A post is a publication of a piece of content on one of your distribution channels. Posts can contain text, images, links, and (on Linkedin) PDF documents. They can take numerous different formats depending on the channel on which they are published. Posts are created through the Amplify interface (see to Amplify above). Most often, posts will feature one of your articles and be created by amplifying a specific article from your publication, but in some cases you may want to create article-less posts. Visit our documentation to learn more about creating and publishing posts.

Profile

Profiles let publishers streamline content distribution by grouping multiple accounts together. Instead of posting separately to Facebook, Instagram, and X, you can create a Profile that includes all three. When amplifying a post, simply select the Profile, and your content will be shared across all linked accounts at once. These accounts can belong to the same channel, or be from different channels as mentioned above. You can organize Profiles however you want to streamline your distribution strategy. Visit our documentation to learn more about Profiles.

Queued Posts

Queued posts are posts that you want to prioritize in your distribution calendar. In contrast to automatically generated content recommendations, these are selected by your team by hand, often based on editorial criteria. Queued posts appear in the middle column of your Feed Details page, and when Marfeel Amplify publishes your content automatically it will draw on your Queued posts first before pulling from the engine-recommended content. Queued posts will auto-publish at the best time slots within the time frame you have determined.
