Search Console Metrics & Dimensions

Marfeel retrieves Google Search and Google Discover data from Google Search Console and allows you to explore it through our reporting solution, Marfeel Explore.

Notes on Compatibility & Integrations
  • Be aware that some metrics and dimensions are incompatible with each other, which can cause data gaps when combined with other Marfeel native Dimensions.
  • To retrieve data from Google Search Console, it is necessary to set up the integration. Go to Integrations > Others to do so.

Metrics

The following metrics represent the total figures across your whole site or sites as measured by Google Search Console. You can break down these aggregate metrics into search and page-level ones using Marfeel’s relevant dimensions.

Google Search Clicks

The total number of clicks from a Google search result that landed the user on your property.

Google Search CTR

The percentage value obtained by calculating \frac{clicks}{impressions}, showing the rate at which users clicked on your links in Google’s search results.

Google Search Impressions

The total number of links to your site a user saw on Google search results. Be aware that Google counts loading a search results page as an impression, even if the user didn’t scroll to the point where they saw your link.

Google Search Position

The average position in search results for your site.

Google Discover Clicks

The total number of clicks on your Google Discover cards from the feed.

Google Discover CTR

The percentage value obtained by calculating \frac{clicks}{impressions}, showing the rate at which users clicked on your cards in the Google Discover feed.

Google Discover Impressions

The total number of times a discover card is scrolled into view in the Google Discover feed.

Dimensions

Marfeel’s Search Console dimensions can be used to refine your data.

Search Keyword

Retrieves the search terms used by users and overlays them on top of Google Search results, delivering granular data on impressions, position, clicks, and CTR for each term.

Search Type

Denotes the source of the data, whether Google Search or Google Discover.
