Being able to toggle between a rolled-up view of syndicated content and site-level traffic of syndicated content can immediately tell you the overall impact a story has on your network, which individual sites had the best success, and whether certain republishing strategies worked.
How to build this report
- Compass > Editorial
- Type “has” in search bar and select
Has affiliation
- Select the more … tab on the center panel and type “Original”
- Select
Original content
from the dropdown menu - This will show the rolled-up view for syndicated content
- To see site-by-site traffic, click the filter symbol to the right of the headline in the center panel
- Note: This rolled-up vs. site-by-site view applies to any conversions you’re tracking in Compass, as well.
Does your network syndicate content internally?
Then you’ll want to access Marfeel’s content syndication tracking features, which are detailed thoroughly in this user guide.
If your metadata isn’t set up for syndication tracking in Marfeel, this documentation shows you how to do it.
One of the best parts? You can also take advantage of Marfeel’s content syndication features in Amplify, where you can distribute region- or market-specific URLs on the correct social media networks all at once.
Note: Syndicated content tracking is only available on the Enterprise plan. If you’re interested in learning more, contact your Account Manager.
