Facebook Metrics Update for API Compatibility

Updated how we collect Facebook post metrics to align with Facebook’s latest API changes. Meta has modified their Page Insights API, requiring all platforms to adapt to their new data structure. As part of this change, Facebook consolidated several metrics into a new unified metric called media views.

Additionally, Facebook no longer provides unique impression data through their API. This limitation comes directly from Facebook and affects all third-party platforms using their data. You can read more about Meta’s API changes in their official announcement

Changes in Marfeel Compass

Due to these API limitations, social unique views metrics have been removed from Marfeel Compass. This simplifies social media analytics and focuses on the comprehensive social views metrics already available.

The following metrics are no longer available:

  • Social Unique Views
  • Social Paid Unique Views
  • Social Fan Unique Views
  • Social Organic Unique Views

What This Means for Your Workflow

If you have been using unique views metrics in your reports, dashboards, or filters, you will need to update them. The standard social views metrics remain fully available and provide robust social media performance tracking:

  • Social Views
  • Social Paid Views
  • Social Fan Views
  • Social Organic Views

We’ve updated our integration to ensure continued compatibility with Facebook’s platform and to provide the most accurate data available under their new API structure
